Outgoing Rangers sensation Robbie Ure on trial with AZ Alkmaar after rejecting new contract
Outgoing Rangers youngster Robbie Ure is currently on trial with Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar, according to The Scottish Sun.
The newspaper noted that the 19-year-old is trying to win a deal with the club after turning down a new contract to stay at Ibrox.
Ure scored one goal from his three senior Gers appearances, with that strike coming on his first team debut in the 3-1 League Cup win over Queen of the South in August.

“Robbie Ure is trying to win himself a deal with AZ Alkmaar,” according to The Scottish Sun. “The ex-Rangers youngster will spend this week on trial with the Dutch side.
“Ure, who made three first team appearances, is a free agent after turning down a new contract to stay at Ibrox. The 19-year-old is on the lookout for a new club after finding his opportunities in Glasgow limited.”

Fresh start
One goal from his limited time on the pitch with the Rangers senior team certainly wasn’t a bad return from the youngster, who really does have a bright future ahead of him.
But that record wasn’t enough to gain further opportunities at Ibrox, with the Gers losing the youngster this summer as he seeks a new challenge and more regular playing time elsewhere.
He certainly had a good time on the pitch at Rangers, with the teenager netting 21 goals from his 44 appearances in all competitions last season, the majority of which came for the club’s B team.
That record perhaps could have provided him hope regarding more first team opportunities next season, but it seems that his decision to leave was made long ago.
Opportunities definitely would have been hard to come by under Michael Beale in the upcoming campaign after the manager recently brought forwards Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers to Ibrox.
In other Rangers news, one Gers star has sent a one-word message to a player as a big-money Premier League development is confirmed.
