Rangers to complete four more new signings with Jose Cifuentes fee already in place – BBC pundit

Kenny Miller has predicted Rangers will make at least 10 signings by the end of the transfer window.

Michael Beale has been extremely busy this summer, landing Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell, Sam Lammers, Abdallah Sima, and Cyriel Dessers already.

According to the Sunday Mail’s print edition (9 July, page 62), a £1.2million fee has also been agreed with LAFC to bring Jose Cifuentes to Ibrox.

Ex-Rangers striker and BBC pundit Miller, wrote for the Daily Record that he expects to see at least four more bodies through the door.

“There’s six in the door already but I wouldn’t be surprised if the final tally gets to 10 – or maybe even more,” he wrote.

Exciting times

Michael Beale had made no secret of his desire to freshen things up at Ibrox this summer after his side fell short of Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership title race last season.

The Gers amassed an impressive 92 points but were still some nine short of the Bhoys, who will have Brendan Rodgers back in the dugout next season after Ange Postecoglou departed for Tottenham.

So far, Beale and Rangers have gone about their business in hugely impressive fashion, signing their top targets and getting them in the door as soon as possible as pre-season preparations really click into gear.

Cifuentes looks certain to join in the coming days, which would be another boost as that deal has taken a little longer to complete than Beale probably would have liked.

From there, it is hard to disagree with Miller’s assessment that the total tally of arrivals will reach 10. These really are exciting times to be a Rangers supporter.
