Rangers plight shared amid transfer links to Feyenoord striker Danilo

Rangers are still in pursuit of Feyenoord striker Danilo despite securing the services of Nigeria international Cyriel Dessers.

According to Football Scotland [7 July], Rangers are waiting on the movement of their “stars” before they can pay the big bucks for the 24-year-old.

The club are still looking to add to their ranks after what’s been an eventful transfer window for them thus far.

Money needed

Rangers have been pro-active this summer and a lot of credit needs to be given to the board for getting the deals done.

Typically, the club’s waited for the final few weeks of the window to get the bulk of their transfer activity done but they’ve been methodical this time around.

Michael Beale can have no excuses about not being backed by the board as he’s got the signings he’s needed.

Rangers

There are still more to come, but as reported, they do require money in order to get those deals over the line.

Rather than expecting new signings, it’s fair to see a few sales now that could generate a decent amount of money.

The likes of Glen Kamara and Rabbi Matondo will fetch the club a decent amount of money and it remains to be seen if they get the desired price for the duo.

In other Rangers news, the club have now received a breakthrough in their pursuit to complete another summer signing as a key target will not be signing an extension.
