Official Rangers partner reacts to Glen Kamara transfer development
Official Rangers partner Four Lads Had a Dream have reacted to the news linking Glen Kamara with an Ibrox exit this summer.
The Scottish Sun reported recently that he was desperate to leave the club this summer amid his lack of game time over the past 12-18 months.
While an exact transfer fee has not been mooted thus far, there is a fair idea about how much the 27-year-old might cost.
Via Twitter, Four Lads wrote, “I think it’s no coincidence that his form has massively deteriorated since Slavia, it’s understandably affected him. Then his closest mates leaving can understand him wanting to move away & get a fresh start
“Just a bit of context for me. I’d take £2.5m & a sell on.”
Fair deal
This seems like a fair price given his lack of game time and overall progress as a player over the past few seasons.
Kamara may once have fetched two or three times that price, especially when he played under Steven Gerrard, but he has not kicked on since then.
Many expected him to be a Premier League level player but now he’s being linked to clubs in Turkey and that’s certainly not what he would’ve wanted.

He perhaps will not even be able to kick it in the first team for Rangers so selling him does make a lot of sense.
Michael Beale gave him a chance once he returned to the club and Kamara, unfortunately, did not take it.
With another midfielder in Jose Cifuentes likely to come in, he’ll be pushed further down in the pecking order so from a personal standpoint too, it makes sense for him to leave.
In other Rangers news, the club have now received a breakthrough in their pursuit to complete another summer signing as a key target will not be signing an extension.
