Rangers transfer as Jose Cifuentes could finally be next at Ibrox
Rangers target Jose Cifuentes could be their next “major” signing, as Michael Beale looks to rejuvenate things at Ibrox following the completion of a deal for Abdallah Sima, according to the Daily Record.
Beale is keen to sign another player in Cifuentes this summer with Cyriel Dessers also set to arrive at Ibrox, as he looks to refresh the Rangers midfield, with the deal being described as a major boost for the Glasgow side amid a busy summer window.
Cifuentes is finally expected to complete his move to Ibrox, having reportedly agreed terms with the club way back on 21 June, with the deal taking longer to get over the line than many expected.

Cifuentes will add something different.
Following the departures of Scott Arfield and Malik Tillman following the end of their deals with the club, Beale’s intention to bring in an attack-minded midfielder is justified, with Cifuentes excelling at the creative side of his game.
The Venezuelan midfielder is in the top 90% compared to other midfielders in the MLS for progressive passes, progressive carries, successful take-ons, touches in the attacking penalty area, shot-creating actions, and total shots, and has all the tools to be an attacking force in that Rangers midfield.

He is the type of player who can excite fans each time he touches the ball, which is always a good option to have on the pitch to raise the belief and mood of a crowd if times get tough.
Beale and Rangers have been proactive in their recruitment as they look to bolster their squad this summer, with league-winning intentions at the forefront of their plans, and Cifuentes’ arrival would be just the latest piece of the puzzle.
In other Rangers news, Michael Beale retains his interest in long-term striker target despite recent developments.
