Long-term update emerges as Danilo keen on Rangers transfer

Michael Beale reportedly has a long-term interest in Feyenoord striker amid links with Rangers in this summer transfer window.

According to the Scottish Daily Mail [04 June, Page 60], the Brazilian forward is keen on moving to Ibrox this summer.

Despite them closing in on Cyriel Dessers, Beale wants the Feyenoord ace as well in the coming weeks.

Big moves

Signing not one but two quality strikers in the same window is unheard of at Rangers.

If Beale and the board pull both Dessers and Danilo off, it will be viewed as a significant coup this summer.

The Brazilian will be a very good addition at Ibrox and he could perhaps unleash his true potential under a manager who’s wanted him for a while.

Rangers

He won the award for Eredivisie Talent of the Month in 2020 and at 24, he’s now at that age where he can be entrusted to shoulder the goal-scoring responsibilities.

It remains to be seen how much he ends up costing at both clubs remain some way apart on their valuations.

Hopefully for Rangers, it’s only a matter of time and they can soon agree on a deal to sign the 24-year-old.

Beale is also keen on signing Jonathan Panzo and Jose Cifuentes and that could probably end the incomings this summer for them.

In other Rangers news, the club have now received a breakthrough in their pursuit to complete another summer signing as a key target will not be signing an extension.
