Daily Record share Rangers update on Luis Palma amid bid speculation
Aris FC attacker Luis Palma is currently not a summer transfer target for Rangers, according to the Daily Record.
The publication noted that while Aris have made it their priority to sell the 23-year-old, he is not on Michael Beale’s radar.
Rangers had a £3.8million bid rejected for Palma earlier this year, as per La Prensa (15 May), and have since signed fellow attackers Sam Lammers permanently and Abdallah Sima on loan, with a deal close for Cyriel Dessers.

“Aris have reportedly made it their priority to sell forward Luis Palma abroad this summer,” according to the Daily Record. “Record Sport understands that the Honduras international is not currently on Michael Beale’s radar.
“Anderlecht are also touted as an interested party. AEK are keen on a deal – but Aris are said to be unwilling to sell to a rival club in Greece.”

Moving on
Rangers manager Beale obviously wants to and needs to strengthen his club this summer, and he has already made major steps in this area with the rapid signatures of several players.
One area that has needed particular attention is attack, with the Gers left light in the final third after the departures of Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos upon the expiry of their contracts at the end of the season.
Beale has addressed this issue by securing the services of Lammers, Sima and almost Dessers, meaning Aris may have just missed out on a significant deal for their forward Palma.
The player and club will perhaps be disappointed to miss out on this opportunity, although there is still a chance that they could come to an agreement with the Gers in the coming weeks.
Palma seems destined to move on this summer, but his final destination really does remain up in the air.
In other Rangers news, a contract saga means the Gers could sign another striker after Cyriel Dessers.
