Rangers ready another bid for Danilo transfer with Michael Beale desperate

Rangers are preparing a fresh bid to sign Feyenoord striker Danilo as the Gers close in on their sixth signing of the summer in Cyriel Dessers, according to The Scottish Sun.

Glasgow World reported on 29 June, the Gers remain in talks with Feyenoord for Danilo’s services after they initially had a £3.5m bid rejected by the Dutch giants who wanted £7m for the Brazilian’s services.

Daily Record reported on Monday morning [3 July] that Danilo told Feyenoord bosses that he wishes to make the move to Scotland in an exciting new twist for the Rangers boss and fans

Beale is set to complete the signing of Dessers within the coming days with the Nigerian striker set to undergo a medical at Ibrox, and it is believed that Beale is desperate to add Danilo to his ranks according to The Scottish Sun [4 July].

Beale means business

This is a statement of intent by Rangers right now as Beale means business and is desperately wanting to bolster his ranks ahead of the new campaign.

After the news that Celtic appointed Brendan Rodgers as their new manager, it certainly seems as if the Gers are responding to that with some tremendous aggression in the market.

Rangers

The Rangers boss may well be getting more than he bargained for initially and that may well tip the Light Blues over their rivals ahead of the new campaign, with Celtic yet to formally complete any signing as of yet, and a number of their key players potentially leaving.

If Rangers are to challenge on all fronts this coming season, Beale will desperately need three ready-made strikers and Dessers, Danilo and one out of Lammers and Sima represents real strength in depth and quality.

Danilo impressed for the Dutch side last season scoring ten league goals and his qualities in the attacking sense are quite clear, recording three assists and holding the capabilities to be both destructive and influential in the final third – the kind of signing Rangers needed to make this summer.

Rangers are certainly making their intentions clear right now.
