Rangers fans will love Jack Butland update as ‘sole focus’ verdict shared
Rangers supporters should definitely be happy with how the summer transfer window has gone so far, with the club making serious moves in recent weeks.
Manager Michael Beale has been very busy in the market, bringing the likes of Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell, Sam Lammers and Abdallah Sima to Ibrox.
The boss has also strengthened in the position of goalkeeper Jack Butland, with the shot-stopper perhaps the only new signing that will walk into the starting XI next season.

Club legend Allan McGregor has vacated the number one jersey, having left the Scottish giants following the expiry of his contract, with Butland perhaps expected to get the nod at number one ahead of Robby McCrorie.
He cannot, however, afford to get complacent, with the Gers needing to stay focused at the back in order for the creative players to be able to do their thing in the final third.
And that focus is something that the new goalkeeper has been discussing at Ibrox, but he has taken that to another level by confirming that his sole focus is on his club career.
The 30-year-old boasts nine England caps, a figure that could rise in the coming years if he can hit the ground running in Scotland, but that is not his immediate concern.

“I am a patriotic guy,” said Butland, as per Sky Sports. “My country has always been important to me. To have represented them in the past is an honour. Of course I would love to get back to that.
“It is not my sole focus. My focus is to be successful at club level and that is to do my job here and whatever happens with that [England], I have always said, that will take care of itself. That is for others to decide.
“That will only happen if we are doing what we need to do here and I am playing well enough, which at the moment is my sole focus and if that comes, that is a bonus.”
Such an approach is certainly understandable, with Butland not making a single appearance while on loan at Manchester United last season.
He should only be keen to resurrect his club career after a lack of minutes on the pitch, with the minutes set to come thick and fast with the Gers in the coming months.
In other Rangers news, a contract saga means the Gers could sign another striker after Cyriel Dessers.
