Rangers ace Kieran Dowell sends four-word message to Lewis Gibson after Everton contract snub
Rangers ace Kieran Dowell has sent a four-word message to Lewis Gibson after the latter signed for Plymouth Argyle.
Argyle confirmed the signature of the 22-year-old on Monday (3 July) after he turned down the chance to extend his stay at Everton, as per the club’s official website (9 June).
Dowell spent time together with the centre-back on Merseyside, having spent his youth career and part of his senior career at the Toffees.

“Over the moon to get this one done!” Gibson wrote on Instagram. “Can’t wait to see the Green army at Home Park. See you soon!”
Dowell replied: “All the best mate.”

Well wishes
The well wishes have been pouring in for Gibson, who is clearly delighted to have signed with the newly-promoted Championship club.
It may be a step down for the defender, but he can now play a key role on the pitch, as opposed to having to wait in the wings for opportunities with Premier League Everton.
He is also perhaps fed up with the loan system, with Gibson sent out on four different loans during his time with the Toffees.
That was the same for Rangers midfielder Dowell, who spent time at Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, Derby County and Wigan Athletic before finally exiting Goodison to join Norwich.
After three years with the Canaries, Dowell is now keen to hit the ground running at Ibrox, with the same to be said of Gibson at Home Park.
It will be a tough campaign for Plymouth, but they have been busy in the summer transfer window as they look to get off to the best start possible.
In other Rangers news, a contract saga means the Gers could sign another striker after Cyriel Dessers.
