Rangers now handed extra motivation to complete Danilo transfer after development on Monday
Rangers target Danilo has told Feyenoord that he wants to make the switch to Ibrox, handing the Light Blues all the motivation to complete his signing.
Glasgow World reported on 29 June, the Gers remain in talks with Feyenoord for Danilo’s services after a report emerged in the Scottish Sun [28 June] that the Dutch Eredivisie giants wanted a fee of around £7m.
Official Rangers sponsor Heart and Hand reported [1 July] that Rangers still wanted the Brazilian even after they formally seal the £4.5 transfer of Cyriel Dessers, and according to a new development, Beale’s Ibrox revolution may well be handed another boost.

According to a report from Daily Record on Monday morning [3 July], Danilo has told Feyenoord bosses that he wishes to make the move to Scotland in an exciting new twist for the Rangers boss and fans.
Wow! It certainly seems as if the Rangers boss’ wish to strengthen his attacking weaponry this summer is coming to reality, especially after securing the services of Sam Lammers and Abdullah Sima in recent weeks.
It was beginning to look like Michael Beale was going to be frustrated on a few of his forward targets, with Dessers going nowhere for a prolonged period, and the gap to a Danilo agreement looking sizeable.
The breakthrough with Cremonese for the 28-year-old is positive news for the Gers as Beale is now set to get his top striker target but Danilo represents another stunning opportunity to bolster their ranks.
And this new development regarding his wish to join the Ibrox revolution has certainly handed Rangers all the encouragement they need to secure their seventh signing this summer.
If Rangers are to challenge on all fronts this coming season, Beale will desperately need three ready-made strikers and Dessers, Danilo and one out of Lammers and Sima represents real strength in depth.

Danilo impressed for the Dutch side last season scoring ten league goals and his qualities in the attacking sense are quite clear, recording three assists, averaging 0.2 assists per 90 in the past year, placing him in the 87th percentile, when compared to his positional peers in Europe’s top-eight leagues.
The Brazilian is also tremendously creative and efficient out of possession, as evidenced by his ranking in the top 18% of forwards across the continent for shot-creating actions per 90, and ranking in the 97th percentile for interceptions highlighting that he isn’t only influential when scoring and creating but also defending from the front – characteristics Beale absolutely adores from his front men.
Danilo has certainly made his intentions clear about a move to Ibrox, the question remains whether Rangers can meet him halfway and offer him that next step in his career. They don’t need any more motivation to put their money where their mouth is.
