Cyriel Dessers undergoing Rangers medical as £4.5m transfer edges closer
Cyriel Dessers is undergoing his Rangers medical today (3 July) ahead of completing a transfer to Ibrox this week, according to STV.
Michael Beale made the Nigerian his top striker target for the summer and finally agreed a £4.5m deal with Serie B side Cremonense last week to make him signing number six of the window.
And according to STV the 28-year-old is set to sign a four-year deal with the club ahead of completing his transfer later this week.

“Cremonese forward Cyriel Dessers is undergoing a medical ahead of a potential move to Rangers,” they wrote.
“STV News understands that the deal to bring him to Ibrox could be complete this week as he is set to become Michael Beale’s sixth summer signing.”
Perfect
Just as Michael Beale wanted, Dessers looks likely to join the club right at the start of pre-season and that can only be a good thing.
There are plenty of players that the club have been looking at, but considering the transfer fee it’s clear that the Nigerian was right at the top of the list in terms of attacking players.

By the time the week is over pre-season will only be a week old and Dessers will have plenty of time to come into the setup and get to know his new teammates and coaches before the start of the season next month.
There are still more deals to be done, with the central defender role one that is clearly being targeted and players will no doubt be leaving in the coming weeks.
But the boss has got the majority of his business done early which is what he wanted, and there can be no complaints when the first game of the season rolls around.
