Rangers transfer news as Josh Maja move is possible after Cyriel Dessers deal
Bordeaux owner Gerard Lopez has admitted Rangers target Josh Maja has opportunities elsewhere, although the club like him a lot, during an interview on French radio station France Bleu Grionde.
When asked about Maja during the interview, Lopez admitted there have been discussions around his future, he was an important player for them last season and one they like a lot. He went on to admit that he has offers from elsewhere, although it is not over yet with the French club.
Football Scotland has reported [12 June] that Rangers would be interested in bringing Maja to the club, although a deal ahs since been agreed for Cremonese hitman, Cyriel Dessers.

Bordeaux were unable to secure promotion from Ligue 2 last season after finishing third, as the decision had been made to reduce the number of teams in the top division from 20 to 18, meaning only two teams were promoted while four went down.
Good option
Maja was highly regarded during his time in England, featuring heavily for Sunderland as one of the bright points in the side that struggled in League One in 2018/19, scoring 15 goals in his 24 games that season. Five years on, the striker is still only 24 years old and bagged 16 goals and six assists from 37 games in the French second division.
This news comes at a time when speculation surrounding Rangers’ search for a new striker is rife and ever-changing. Strikers on their list of targets include Dessers, Feyenoord’s Danilo, and Hacken’s Benie Traore, with each having reported bids from the Scottish giants.

It has been clear that Michael Beale wants to strengthen his squad in the forward department, after already signing Sam Lammers and Abdallah Sima this summer, and now lodging bids for three strikers while being linked to a fourth, Rangers are making strides towards catching their Glasgow rivals in what will be another close title race.
Dessers is closing in on his move to Ibrox, could Maja follow him?
In other Rangers news, a 28-goal star was reportedly offered to Rangers before Celtic move.
