Rangers transfer news as Danilo still eyed after Cyriel Dessers move
Rangers remain interested in signing Feyenoord striker Danilo even after Cyriel Dessers’ Ibrox move, according to official Rangers sponsor Heart and Hand.
Glasgow World reported on 29 June, the Gers remain in talks with Feyenoord for Danilo’s services after a report emerged in the Scottish Sun [28 June] that the Dutch Eredivisie giants wanted a fee of around £7m.
With Beale desperately looking to bolster his attacking options following the signing of Sam Lammers and Abdallah Sima this past week, the Gers are also set to “clinch” a £4.5million deal for top summer target Cyriel Dessers, [Mail+, 30 June].

And according to Heart and Hand David Edgar, taking to their personal Twitter account [1 July], Dessers’ deal will have no bearing on Rangers’ move for Danilo with a bid still on the table for his services.
They tweeted: “Rangers still interested in Danilo even with Dessers arriving.”
Strong intentions
Wow! It certainly seems as if Michael Beale and Rangers are intent on strengthening their attacking weaponry, after securing the services of Sam Lammers and Abdullah Sima in recent weeks.
It was beginning to look like Michael Beale was going to be frustrated on a few of his forward targets, with Dessers going nowhere for a prolonged period, and the gap to a Danilo agreement looking sizeable.

The breakthrough with Cremonese for the 28-year-old is positive news for the Gers as Beale is now set to get his top striker target but Danilo represents another stunning opportunity to bolster their ranks.
If Rangers are to challenge on all fronts, they desperately need three ready-made strikers and Dessers, Danilo and one out of Lammers and Sima represents strength in depth.
With the likes of Kieran Dowell, Fashion Sakala, and Todd Cantwell all playing around them, the Rangers fans are certainly in for an exciting and enthralling campaign filled with plenty of goals and assists from the frontmen.
Get the Danilo deal done too. He’s too good an opportunity to pass up.
In other Rangers news, the club have now received a breakthrough in their pursuit to complete another summer signing as a key target will not be signing an extension.
