Rangers must look to cash in on Kemar Roofe this transfer window – Injury Expert
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Rangers...
Rangers may look to cash in on Kemar Roofe this summer due to his lack of availability through injury, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert believes that knee surgeries in back-to-back campaigns will undoubtedly have taken a toll on the Jamaican’s body.
He’s also now on the wrong side of 30 and that adds another reason why Rangers are unlikely to consider him as a long-term option.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said, “Considering he’s had two major knee injuries in back-to-back seasons and is moving past 30 years old, it would make sense to move him if they got the right offer.”
The 30-year-old is now in the final year of his deal at Ibrox and he’s found game time hard to come by due to his lack of fitness.
Even this past season, he returned with few months left, but did not start a game and was eventually sidelined once again due to surgery.

This saw him play no further action as Michael Beale’s side endured a disappointing end to the campaign.
Roofe, when available is certainly an important player as he can fill in multiple roles and can prove himself to be a real goal threat as well.
In other Rangers news, the club have now received a breakthrough in their pursuit to complete another summer signing as a key target will not be signing an extension.
