Rangers players and staff return for pre-season training
Rangers players and staff have returned to Auchenhowie to begin pre-season training under Michael Beale in anticipation of a strong season, as pictured in Football Scotland.
The Rangers players will be beginning preparations for their first full season under the management of Beale, with the Englishman having taken over the reins in November after Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s dismissal. Beale has brought the players in early to get pre-season underway quickly.
Rangers will have more than just league action to contend with this season, having entered the Champions League qualification stages by finishing second in the league. The first of these qualifiers comes less than a week after the opening league game.

Preparations already underway
Rangers will need to have a good and stable pre-season if they wish to take their form into the new season at the top of their game and challenge rivals Celtic to the SPFL title. Turmoil around player signings and departures can disrupt preparations, so the board will be looking to avoid any dramatic sagas.
Having already completed five transfer deals this summer, most recently announcing a deal to take Abdallah Sima on loan from Brighton, the new signings will join up with the rest of the squad upon arrival for pre-season training, with the manager taking the opportunity to get them involved early on.

Beale will be looking to continue his revolution of the squad, by bringing in some fresh faces to mould into his ideal roles, while working with the rest of the squad to improve upon the good start he made when he arrived in November.
Rangers will be looking to reclaim the title this season.
In other Rangers news, Kris Boyd has predicted two more signings coming in at Ibrox.
