Official Rangers partner delivers £7m transfer verdict as bid made for Feyenoord striker Danilo

Heart and Hand have reacted to the valuation of Feyenoord striker Danilo as Rangers reportedly have made a bid to sign him.

According to the Scottish Sun [28 June], their initial bid was worth £3.5million but that was turned down by the Dutch side.

It’s been reported that they want twice that amount in order to cash in on the 24-year-old’s services this summer.

Via Twitter, the club’s official media partner wrote if Gers will be willing to sign the Brazilian, “Not at that price, no.”

Rangers cannot afford to be stingy when they’ve got someone like Alfredo Morelos leaving and needing to be replaced.

It’s good for the dressing room that he’s no longer around the place, but his goals are something that Michael Beale will miss a great deal.

Even when it was clear that the Colombian was leaving, Beale still started him over Antonio Colak which meant he did not trust the Croatian to lead the line.

It’s clear that if they need to sign a striker they must spend big and the Brazilian seems to be a very good option for them.

If a few million can take them for title pretenders to genuine contenders and maybe even favourites in Old Firms, then it’s an investment worth making.

He’ll certainly find the SPFL easier to score goals in than the Dutch league and perhaps it means Gers need to sell a few players in order to raise funds to sign him.

In other Rangers news, the club have now received a breakthrough in their pursuit to complete another summer signing as a key target will not be signing an extension.
