Glen Kamara to be high-profile exit at Rangers as multi-million news shared by Chris Jack

Rangers are reportedly prepared to let three players go, with Glen Kamara the highest-profile of those three.

Chris Jack has reported via The Herald (28 June) that the Gers are set to turn their attention to reducing the size of Michael Beale’s squad.

Scott Wright, Jon McLaughlin and Kamara are all deemed to be surplus to requirements ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

Kamara has had a £5million price tag placed on him with interest from Italy, England and France in what will certainly be the club’s highest-profile sale.

Goodbye

Kamara featured 33 times for Rangers in all competitions last season however is now set to be moved on.

The Finnish midfielder scored once and provided one assist across those appearances and Beale now looks set to cash in on the 27-year-old.

The former Arsenal youth player has been deemed surplus to requirements as the club looks to build a new squad which can compete with Celtic next season. However, it might be difficult to command a fee of £5million for Kamara.

Rangers might be forced to take a lower fee with £5million a particularly high asking price for Kamara. The club will be keen to raise funds for their rebuild and might be willing to take a lower offer should one come in.

Kamara has been with Rangers since 2019 and fans will certainly be thankful to the former Dundee man for his contributions, however, it now seems it is time to move him on.

In other Rangers news, the club have received a response following their £3.5million bid.
