Rangers transfer update on Feyenoord striker Danilo amid frustrations over Cyriel Dessers
Rangers were reportedly locked in talks on Tuesday night, 27 June, with Feyenoord to negotiate a fee for striker Danilo.
According to the Scotsman [28 June, Page 64], they are frustrated over their pursuit of Cyriel Dessers as Michael Beale wants a new striker this summer and will ramp up the chase for Danilo.
Alfredo Morelos will be leaving once his deal runs out at the end of June and the club have already announced he will not be signing a new deal.

Get it done
It seems like Danilo and Dessers are now the two primary striker targets for Rangers this summer.
Abdallah Sima appears to be closing in and while he can play as a number nine, given their pursuits, it seems like he’s set for a role out wide.
Ryan Kent needs replacing and there’s a good chance that Sima will be brought in to play on the left flank instead of him.

He can also play on the right so it remains to be seen if Beale has plans for Fashion Sakala or Rabbi Matondo to be the first choice.
With Kieran Dowell and Sam Lammers both capable of playing as number 10s, there’s no reason to bring in more players there.
The focus now seems primarily on bringing in proven goal scorers to deal with the void that’s being left by Morelos.
In other Rangers news, the club have now received a breakthrough in their pursuit to complete another summer signing as a key target will not be signing an extension.
