Bright Osayi-Samuel pours cold water over Rangers £9m bid as Premier League dream revealed
Michael Beale’s quest to make Bright Osayi-Samuel his next Rangers signing has seemingly collapsed after the Fenerbahce player revealed his desired destination for a transfer this summer.
Turkish publication Sporx previously reported on 8 June that the Gers had tabled a £9million offer to sign the full-back, who can also play as a wing-back or a winger.
However, the 25-year-old has already emerged as a popular asset in England this summer, with the likes of Bournemouth and Brentford also keen on his signature.

The Nigeria international has poured cold water over the links to Rangers in particular and expressed his desire to test himself in the top flight of English football.
“I think everyone knows that my ambition is to play English football, to play in the [English] Premier League, you know,” he told Soccernet Nigeria.
“No disrespect, they [Fenerbahce] have done some much for me there [in Turkey]. But my ambition is to play in the Premier League.
“So when I feel that the time is the right time for me to go, I will take it.”

Although Rangers have already snapped up the services of Jack Butland, Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and Sam Lammers this summer, the Gers are still looking to add further fresh faces to their first-team squad.
Beale claimed he wanted as many as a dozen new players to help alleviate the lack of depth in his squad following the departures of several experienced players on free transfers, and Osayi-Samuel would have been a useful utility player to possess.
However, the £9million price tag always looked a little steep for the Gers, so this isn’t one for the Gers to get frustrated over.
Rangers already look well stocked in Osayi-Samuel’s favoured right-back position, with captain James Tavernier and new signing Sterling already in their ranks, so Beale can now press ahead with his search for alternative transfers.
In other Rangers news, the club are now close to sealing another major signing after the announcement of Sam Lammers in their biggest acquisition of the summer window.
