Rangers transfer news as Timo Horn deal now wanted at Ibrox
Rangers are one of the clubs who want to sign free-agent goalkeeper Timo Horn this summer, according to Corierre Dello Sport.
The Italian newspaper has reported in its print edition [27 June, pg 20] that Fiorentina are one of the Serie A sides keeping tabs on the German international.
Horn would be available for nothing this summer after confirming that he will leave FC Koln in Germany after spending 21 years at the club.

The newspaper wrote: “About him in the past, there has already been a first survey by Hamburg and now also in Scotland, Glasgow Rangers would be interested in the German.”
Michael Beale will be looking at his options after completing the signing of Jack Butland, with Robby McCrorie currently predicted to be playing second fiddle.

Unlikely.
Right now, it looks as though this is very unlikely to happen.
Butland will no doubt be number one, with McCrorie earning the right to stay and fight for his spot, leaving Jon McLaughlin as the one who will likely leave.
Even with his exit, a younger academy option is better placed as number three, with Horn likely leaving Koln to get more game time after failing to make an impact last season.
Towards the end of his career, the German will not want to spend it playing in cup games here and there, rather than playing every single week.
Having represented Germany up to under-21 level and then at senior level for the Olympics, there aren’t many options out there with better experience.
But, Rangers don’t need to and won’t want to spend money when it isn’t needed, with positions such as the final third desperately needing reinforcements.
This one is a non-starter.
