Rangers transfer news as Michael Beale looks for Danilo coup with approach
Rangers have made an approach for Feyenoord’s striker Danilo, who is highly rated and would be a “real coup” for Michael Beale, according to The 4th Official.
The 4th Official has confirmed reports elsewhere that Rangers have made an approach for Danilo, stating that he is “quite highly rated.”
Danilo scored ten goals in Feyenoord’s league-winning season last time out, despite being in the starting XI in just 44% of their Eredivisie games, an impressive record which has tempted Rangers to make an offer.

The report also states that sources have “confirmed” the Glasgow side are interested in Brighton forward Abdallah Sima, with separate reports suggesting that deal is close.
Get it done
Danilo is a very highly-rated forward across Europe, drawing speculation of interest from across the continent since his move to Rotterdam from Ajax in 2022.
Beale’s side are clearly looking to bring in another striking option, with links to Sima, Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers and Hacken’s Benie Traore all popping up in recent days. The manager has identified this as an area Rangers need to improve this summer.

Danilo would be an excellent option for Rangers, not just because of his goalscoring prowess, but also his league-winning experience, having helped Feyenoord to the Eredivisie title last season, as Rangers look to challenge for the SPFL title once again.
The 4th Official has stated that this move would be “a real coup” for Beale and Rangers, as they look to add to the four signings they have brought in already this summer, following an exodus of experienced Ibrox stalwarts, as the club looks to take a new direction under Beale’s guidance.
In other Rangers news, Gers are “confident” of making their 5th summer signing in the coming days.
