Feyenoord open to Danilo exit as Rangers table opening bid for £5.6m striker
Feyenoord are open to the idea of selling striker Danilo after Rangers tabled a bid for the Brazilian, according to Mail+.
1908 first revealed the Gers had submitted an opening bid for the 14-goal striker, who is currently valued in the region of £5.6m. Both clubs are still locked in negotiations
Rangers’ initial offer is believed to have been turned down, but the Eredivisie champions are open to letting the 24-year-old depart during the summer window.

Promising
Rangers were never going to land the striker with their opening bid.
A lowball offer was clearly made to get the ball rolling when it comes to the Brazilian. However, if Feyenoord are keen to sell, the Gers could use it to their advantage.
Sam Lammers has already arrived, but a proven goalscorer is also required at Ibrox. Danilo hit the back of the net regularly during the 2022/23 season, with a lot of his outings coming from the bench. He’s a player who is in the prime of his career and could be looking to become the main man.

The Gers need a prolific marksman to replace Alfredo Morelos. The Colombian endured a tough last season in Scotland, but it’s hard to argue with his overall record.
There’s pressure on Lammers to deliver, but the former Atalanta man cannot be expected to should all of the Gers’ goalscoring burden.
Another forward has to arrive and Danilo certainly fits the bill for Michael Beale and the board.
In other Rangers news, the club are now close to sealing another major signing after the announcement of Sam Lammers in their biggest acquisition of the summer window.
