Rangers set for £25m+ windfall, they must qualify ahead of Celtic
Rangers are set for a minimum windfall of £25million if they appear at the UEFA Club World Cup, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper has reported in its print edition [26 June, pg 46] that the Bears are in line to qualify for the new-look Club World Cup from 2025 in the United States.
It has been described as a “money-spinning” event with Rangers set to qualify based on their coefficient ranking, with another good year in Europe needed.

Gianni Infantino has described the new-look 12 team tournament as the pinnacle of men’s football, and it will be held for the first time in America.
Rangers are currently way ahead of Celtic after their run to the Europa League final, with one team per country to be represented on the big stage.

Success.
John Bennett and James Bisgrove have wasted no time in publically admitting they want to take Rangers to the next level after Douglas Park.
Being in the Club World Cup over in the States would be superb for global exposure, and that is something that can be used to keep that windfall coming in.
Of course, praise also has to go to those before who potentially made this possible, such as Giovanni van Bronckhorst who led the club to the Europa League final.
Another year qualifying for the Champions League should be enough, with Celtic not expected to do enough to flip the scales in terms of coefficient rankings given their shocking performance for too many years now.
Time will tell whether or not Rangers will get this opportunity, but right now it is looking very good for the Light Blues, who may start to count the cash very soon.
In other Rangers news, the Bears are confident of another new transfer with talks already open
