Celtic hypocrisy on full show after new BBC twist after Rangers saga

When Rangers decided to ban a couple of senior BBC reporters back in 2015, it kickstarted what would be a seven-year boycott between the two.

That, of course, brought in many comments from across the city at Celtic, with pundits speaking on a subject they simply knew nothing about.

The theory was that Rangers simply did not like what was being reported, although the feud was ended in 2022 with full coverage returning.

Chris Sutton is another who was banned from Ibrox, and when the BBC feud was over, he joked that it was “great” to see Rangers letting everyone in.

That was a clear dig and something that shows how deluded he can be when it comes to matters at Rangers.

Of course, we don’t expect Sutton or anyone at Celtic to react or shed light after incredibly, the BBC were banned from the unveiling of Brendan Rodgers at Parkhead [The National].

The 4th Official on Patreon also shared their response to the recent decision, pointing out whether anyone in close connection with Celtic will speak out as they did when Rangers made the same point all those years ago.

As we all know, that is very unlikely to happen as when it comes to the Old Firm, there are two sides to everything and even if the shoe fits, it is likely to matter to them.

The hypocrisy stinks yet again from across the city, and the obsession is only growing as they hit out over matters at Ibrox, yet turn a blind eye to what is happening closer to home.

It will be interesting to watch as the backlash comes to light.
