Adballah Sima drops ‘say goodbye’ transfer message on social media amid Rangers talks with Brighton

Brighton attacker Abdallah Sima has dropped a major hint on social media regarding his future amid links to Rangers.

According to the Daily Mail (24 June), the Gers are close to signing the 22-year-old on a season-long loan to add to Michael Beale’s attacking options.

Sima, who joined the Seagulls from Slavia Prague in 2021, spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Angers SCO.

“Supporters of SCO, I joined the club with the desire and hope to have a great season with you, with this group,” Sima wrote on Instagram.

“Unfortunately this one didn’t turn out the way we wanted and even though it was very difficult I never gave up and always wanted to give it my best.

“The time has come for me to say goodbye, a new adventure awaits. Thank you team for welcoming me with open arms and I am honoured to be part of your family. The work is still in progress.”

Rangers

Reshuffle well underway

The massive Rangers reshuffle that was expected to take place this summer is fully underway, with manager Michael Beale keeping himself very busy as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging on all fronts next season.

The Ibrox outfit lost Allan McGregor, Filip Helander, Scott Arfield, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos upon the expiry of their contracts, but they have already brought in a handful of much-needed replacements.

Goalkeeper Jack Butland, defender Dujon Sterling, midfielder Kieran Dowell and striker Sam Lammers have all joined, with many more set to follow them.

And next up could be young forwarded Sima, who scored six goals from his 37 appearances in all competitions for his temporary club last season.

The campaign ended in disappointment as the club were relegated to Ligue 2, but Sima will already be thinking about his next challenge, which could arrive at Ibrox under the watchful eye of Beale.

In other Rangers news, Barry Ferguson really wants the Gers to sign an “absolute sensation” in a £2million transfer deal.
