Michael Beale in personal Jonathan Panzo talks to seal new Rangers transfer

Michael Beale has personally spoken to Jonathan Panzo to try and seal his next Rangers transfer this summer, according to The 4th Official.

The online outlet has reported that the Ibrox boss has sold his vision to the Nottingham Forest defender, who is interested in a move to Glasgow.

Despite that, there are still other clubs that Panzo is speaking to, making it clear that any possible deal is still nowhere near being completed.

Writing on their official Patreon page, The 4th Official said: “Having spoken with several people who are close to this transfer over the last couple of days, it is clear that it is nowhere near done right now.

“Beale has personally spoken with the defender a few times recently in order to sell Panzo on the project and how he will be an integral part of Rangers.

“While Panzo is definitely interested in coming to Rangers, there are other clubs he is still talking with at the moment.”

Far.

This is the benefit of kickstarting your transfer business as early as Rangers did.

Beale made sure that he got free deals for the likes of Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling and Kieran Dowell were done early, before adding Sam Lammers for his first fee to his squad last week.

Now, he can concentrate on other big deals such as Panzo, Jose Cifuentes and Cyriel Dessers for the next few months, although they will ideally be done before those all-important Champions League qualifiers.

Panzo appears to have clubs lining up for his signature, and Beale may have done all he can do at this stage, and he has to leave the defender to make up his mind.

Rangers need players that are desperate to pull on that blue shirt and put in their top effort every single weekend, and if there is indecisiveness now, then doubts start to rise.

Time will tell what will happen with this one, but there are doubts about whether Panzo will be coming north.
