Charlie Adam backs Rangers to seal brand new loan transfer
Charlie Adam has predicted that Rangers will go to the loan market to bring in their main striker target, as reported by the Daily Record.
He was speaking amid ongoing speculation on Scotland international Lyndon Dykes securing a move to Ibrox, but that suggestion has been played down in recent days.
After signing Sam Lammers, Gers boss Michael Beale is expected to bring in at least one other striker in the coming weeks as he continues the rebuild of his squad.

Adam, who made 61 appearances for Rangers with a return of 13 goals, believes that Beale could aim to bring in a top striker on a temporary basis to make a difference up front.
“Rangers need a number 9 and they need pace in the right areas, the wide areas,” he said.
“Lyndon Dykes is one that has been mentioned recently and he’d absolutely be someone that they could look at, he knows Scottish football and he’s at a good age which is important. The scouting department will be looking at every angle and what is best for the club, and who is going to be able to come in and add something different.
“Michael Beale will probably try and look in the loan market when it comes to getting in a number nine. Ryan Kent is a miss and Alfredo Morelos is their top European goalscorer so you have to replace him.”

Last resort
With Lammers already landed, joining Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and Jack Butland, Beale has shown that he is serious about getting his business down early so that the Gers have the best chance of a strong start to the league campaign, as well as the Champions League qualifiers.
Further signings will follow, as well as departures from the club, with one of the key priorities represented by the chase for a striker of significant quality to come in and lead the line, to be the effective replacement for Alfredo Morelos as the main striker.
It won’t be on the agenda for that man to be a loan player, unless in unique circumstances, given the shortlist that will be drawn up.
It would need to be a special player that Rangers wouldn’t otherwise be able to attract or an effective Plan C if things really go wrong, or quite possibly, a last resort.
