Rangers transfer update as Jose Cifuentes deal eyed by Michael Beale
Rangers are reportedly still in pursuit of LAFC midfielder Jose Cifuentes with Michael Beale keen on bringing him to Ibrox this summer.
According to the Daily Record [21 June, Page 46], the Gers manager is hoping to apply the “finishing touches” on the deal to sign the Ecuador international.
Football Scotland [20 June] report that the 24-year-old is likely to be announced as a Rangers player in July and not before that.

Get him in
Cifuentes is undoubtedly a quality midfielder who’ll walk into the Rangers first team and improve the players around him.
While the level of the MLS is not that high, he’s proven time and again why he’s a top player and far better than the competition there.
Rangers will be a true test of his mettle, but based on what he’s shown for his club and country, it’s a challenge he’s fully ready for.

It remains to be seen how much Gers end up paying for him and if Beale is able to pull this one off as he’s seemingly playing a pretty hands on role.
Cifuentes looks to be his priority in midfield and perhaps once that deal is done, he can then look at bringing in another striker.
Hopefully, the majority of their transfer business is concluded before the players return for pre season so that Beale can work with his full squad from day one.
In other Rangers news, the club are now close to sealing another major signing after the announcement of Sam Lammers in their biggest acquisition of the summer window.
