Clubs circle for Scott Wright, Rangers exit expected to happen
Other clubs remain interested in Rangers attacker Scott Wright after his move to Preston North End collapsed, according to Football Scotland.
It’s believed the Lilywhites attempted to “lowball” the Gers when it came to the 25-year-old after holding talks for a number of weeks (Football Scotland, 20 June).
Despite the move falling through, Wright is still expected to depart Ibrox in the coming weeks with interested parties still circling.

Makes sense
This is a move that makes an awful lot of sense.
Wright has been largely unused under Michael Beale and with the Rangers boss set to add to his attacking options, an exit seems the most likely outcome.
He can count himself fairly unfortunate. Whenever he’s been introduced he’s looked lively and has made an impact.
With Ryan Kent also on his way out, it’s essential for Beale to add in attacking areas. At least two wide options and another striker are required.

Sam Lammers has arrived but Beale has been dealt a blow after Cyriel Dessers turned down the chance to move to Scotland. It’s believed the Gers had a £5million move lined up for the Cremonese striker.
The board will now have to look elsewhere to find an adequate replacement for Alfredo Morelos. A move for another striker has added impetus with Antonio Colak’s future also in doubt.
Another busy and important couple of weeks lies ahead for Beale and the board.
In other Rangers news, the search is underway for two behind-the-scenes Ibrox appointments but the club aren’t even involved.
