Rangers to sign main striker at Ibrox with many exits still set – Daily Record journalist
Journalist Scott Burns has tipped Michael Beale to bring in a main striker as well as many exits still to follow at Ibrox, as reported by the Daily Record [19 June, Page 47].
With the recent arrival of Sam Lammers, the Gers have secured a quality, cultured attacker who will contribute but he does his best work with his back to goal, linking the play and supporting those around him.
The effective replacement for Alfredo Morelos is still to be secured, with Cyriel Dessers strongly linked to fill that role, as featured in the column.

Burns acknowledged the early work that has been conducted by Beale as part of his squad overhaul, but he was right to highlight that the main man upfront is still to be acquired, whether it will be the Belgian-born Nigerian international or another contender.
“He has a lot of business done. The spine of his team is coming together,” he said.
“He still needs to bring in a main striker and it remains to be seen if he will eventually get Cyriel Dessers. I still think there could be a lot of exits.”

Crucial signing
As much as Rangers have made a good start to the summer transfer period, there is still a lot of important work to be done.
Several sales need to be made, but the arrival of a new headline striker will be a crucial signing and one that will need to make a big impact at the club in the new campaign.
At least three more additions appear quite likely so it will be very interesting to gauge just what happens before the return to Auchenhowie for pre-season training at the end of the month.
Just like Butland, Sterling and Lammers, Gers boss Beale has identified his targets and now it is about closing the deals. There has been an evident sense of planning and preparation in what has been confirmed so far, so hopefully more of the same will follow.
Some extra quality in the next two or three signings will go a long way to equip the team for the challenges ahead.
