Rangers transfer business close to completion amid £15m Ibrox development

Rangers are close to completing their summer business as Michael Beale’s deadline hones into view, according to The Scotsman.

Beale has already added Jack Butland, Kieran Dowell, and Dujon Sterling to his ranks but is also close to a number of new additions – Jonathan Panzo, Jose Cifuentes, Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers are all reportedly close to joining the Scottish giants.

The Scotsman report on Wednesday 14 June, that if a move for Malik Tillman was to be finalised, the club’s spend would be in the region of £15million. It’s believed that would be close to business “done” for Beale.

The Rangers boss is keen to have his business completed before Allan McGregor’s testimonial against Newcastle on 18 July.

Impressive

If Rangers get all their transfer business done before 18 July it will be an extremely impressive feat. Beale has been extremely active during the early part of the window.

A big summer was needed, and, to date, it has been delivered. Next on the agenda is a striker, with Lammers and Dessers both close to securing their moves to Ibrox.

Lammers, at present, looks like the most likely player to be announced first. The Atalanta striker has endured a tough spell at the Seria A club. However, Beale will fancy his chances of getting a tune out of the 26-year-old.

He was highly thought of in Holland so there’s clearly something to work with.

With Alfredo Morelos departing and Antonio Colak potentially surplus to requirements, at least two more forwards will have to arrive before the window slams shut in September.

Dessers and Lammers would certainly fill most of the void.
