Injury Expert shares if Rangers may look to delay Cyriel Dessers medical amid recent setback
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Rangers...
The delay in getting Cyriel Dessers’ deal over the line from Rangers is not understood to be doing anything with his injury, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert asserts that he may encounter a tricky rehab before he gets back to normal, but it should not be a hindrance in getting a transfer over the line.
Had it been a serious one, things would’ve been different, but his tendon trauma does not appear to be a cause for concern.

Daily Record [12 June] claimed that Gers were confident of signing the 28-year-old and will have to shell out £5million to sign him.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said, “The only details I’ve read on his current injury is it’s a tendon injury.
“The tricky rehab depends on the injury specifics but generally these can take a bit longer due to the unique nature in which tendons are loaded and thus have to be rehabilitated.
“Depending on the injury, although this sounds relatively mild if the return date was June 14, the medical could certainly go ahead and the Ranges medical staff would just be aware that he’s currently dealing with or just coming off an issue.“

An agreement hasn’t been struck with Cremonese so a medical will be scheduled later, but he is in a condition to undergo it right away.
There were concerns as he picked up a Patella injury in May and missed the remainder of last season and is not understood to be fully fit yet.
In March 2023, the Nigeria international even revealed that he was struggling with injury issues which saw him lose his place in the first team. [Brila]
In other Rangers news, a pundit has claimed that the Ibrox faithful will love this attacker at the club as Rangers are closing in on another signing.
