Fabrizio Romano drops double Rangers transfer update as approach made to sign Jonathan Panzo from Nottingham Forest
Rangers are close to the signature of Atalanta ace Sam Lammers and are in talks with Nottingham Forest defender Jonathan Panzo, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer specialist noted that Lammers has an Ibrox medical scheduled for Wednesday (14 June), while talks are ongoing about a move for Panzo.
Romano added that there are, however, English and German clubs also chasing the signature of Panzo.

“Rangers are set to complete deal to sign Sam Lammers this week – medicals are scheduled on Wednesday,” Romano posted on Twitter.
“Understand Rangers have also asked for Jonathan Panzo again as new centre back, talks are ongoing – but there are also German and English clubs keen on signing him.”

Double delight
Rangers manager Michael Beale is making big moves in the transfer market, with the boss showing his intentions early as he looks to close the gap on fierce rivals Celtic as much as possible next season.
The Gers do, of course, start their season much earlier than their city rivals due to their Champions League qualification matches this summer.
Beale has already strengthened in various areas, securing pre-contract deals for goalkeeper Jack Butland, defender Dujon Sterling and midfielder Kieran Dowell.
But the manager clearly wants more defensive cover as he pursues a deal for Panzo, who spent last season on loan at Coventry City as they made it all the way to the Championship play-off final.
More pressing, however, is the need for a new forward, which is why the Gers look keen to get a deal for Lammers over the line as quickly as possible.
Rangers fans will be delighted with this transfer update, but many will be eager for the new arrivals to keep on coming ahead of the new campaign.
