Ross Wilson helps Rangers as £2.2m Jonathan Panzo news breaks
Rangers are on the verge of signing Nottingham Forest defender Jonathan Panzo – and they could have Ross Wilson to thank.
According to The Daily Record on Sunday 11 June, the Light Blues are thrashing out a £2.2million deal for the 22-year-old defender.
It’s believed that Wilson’s connections to the Gers has seen them jump ahead of Coventry and West Brom in the race for his signature.

Although Wilson was a divisive figure at Ibrox, the fanbase will perhaps forgive some of his dodgy transfer dealings if an agreement for Panzo can be reached.
A move for the former Coventry loanee would mark a superb start to the summer window for Michael Beale. We’ve seen Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling and Kieran Dowell arrive so far.
Furthermore, there have been reports of Beale closing in on Serie A strike duo Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers.
Rangers fans must be feeling pretty cheery at present.

Celtic are without a boss, new signings are arriving on a weekly basis and Beale is seemingly building a competitive squad.
The signing of Panzo is certainly an interesting one. He won’t have come to play second fiddle, which potentially casts doubt over Ben Davies and Leon King’s careers at Ibrox.
Davies has been a decent acquisition – but whether he is able to take the Gers to the next level remains to be seen.
King saw plenty of gametime at the start of the season but could well be set for a loan stint away. Nonetheless, it’s been an extremely successful start to the off-season.
In other Rangers news, there is confidence that another incoming Ibrox deal is completed “very soon” after personal terms were agreed.
