Rangers transfer news: Fresh twist emerges in pursuit of Aris attacker Luis Palma
The Rangers pursuit of Aris winger Luis Palma is not reportedly over despite rumours claiming it to be in the past few weeks.
According to the Fourth Official [12 June], despite the club monitoring other targets, a move for the 23-year-old cannot be ruled out.
The next few weeks are likely to give a better indication as to whether or not the Honduras international will actually be moving to Ibrox.

T40 wrote, “Greek media outlet SDNA has since my report said that Rangers’ pursuit for Palma is over due to the club and Aris not being able to come close on the valuation for the player. I must say it would be interesting to see how/who Rangers go for playing on the wings as that is a priority.
“I will be honest, I don’t think the Palma chase is completely over. I am sure Rangers are monitoring other targets, but it was always known to the club that the deal for Luis Palma would never be immediate. We will know much more on this in the next 3 weeks I guess.”
Backup option?
If a deal for Palma is on the cards but not being pursued actively, it’s pretty evident that he’s not a priority target for Michael Beale.
Had he been the go-to option, the club would be pursuing it diligently and would’ve gotten an answer one way or another by now.
However, it appears that he’s there on the side in case the club fail to land their primary target in that wide attacker position, whoever that might be.

Any deal for Palma is also not going to come cheap and that’s something that Rangers will be aware of by now.
The Transfer Geek reported in May that Rangers were even in talks with the 23-year-old’s agents as they looked to complete a £4.4million deal for him.
It now remains to be seen if talks resume as there appears to be some hope that the deal could be revived.
In other Rangers news, a pundit has claimed that the Ibrox faithful will love this attacker at the club as Rangers are closing in on another signing.
