Rangers set £5m asking price for Glen Kamara with exit on cards in ‘coming weeks’ – Chris Jack
Rangers have set a £5m asking price for Glen Kamara this summer with an exit expected in the “coming weeks” according to journalist Chris Jack.
The Finland international has fallen out of favour under Michael Beale, with the boss admitting he would be open to offers for the central midfielder as part of his squad overhaul this summer.
There is now strong interest from the English Champions, France and Italy and according to a report in The Herald Scotland (12 June), Rangers have set their price with a deal expected to happen.

“Rangers have put a £5million price tag on the head of Glen Kamara as the midfielder gets set to head for the Ibrox exit door this summer,” he wrote.
“Kamara is attracting strong interest from clubs in France and Italy as well as the Championship and will be allowed to leave in the coming weeks.”
Perfect
It’s about time this club started to make a good amount of money on players that are no longer wanted, rather than selling them for cheap or letting them go for free when they decide the time is right.
The deal for Calvin Bassey last summer set a good precedent, while the club did well to get what they did for Joe Aribo in the same breath.

Now Kamara is out of favour but still has two years remaining on his deal, it’s the perfect time to sell him off and allow everyone to move forward with their plans.
£5m is a more than fair price for an international calibre midfielder and all the mentioned leagues will be able to afford that, which makes an exit likely.
With such a busy summer expected in the transfer market in terms of incoming too, this money will go a long way to helping Beale land all his targets and keep the books balanced at the same time.
In other Rangers news, major boost for Beale’s transfer hopes with contract talks stalling for big target.
