Fee agreement claim shared as Jose Cifuentes likely to seal Rangers transfer

Rangers and Los Angeles FC reportedly only have to agree on a transfer fee for Jose Cifuentes for the deal to go through this summer.

According to the Fourth Official [12 June], personal terms have been reached between the 23-year-old and the Ibrox out.

While things can change during transfer windows, nothing major is expected to change as things stand and he’s likely to follow Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling and Kieran Dowell through the door.

T4O wrote, “Now I know that the delay in getting the Jose Cifuentes deal over the line is a bit nerve-racking for the fans. But the player and Rangers have agreed, it’s just that the fee is not yet decided with LAFC. Yes, anything can happen in the transfer window (like Newcastle United or Chelsea coming in with a bid for Cifuentes tomorrow) but as of right now, it’s very likely that Cifuentes will end up at Rangers.”

Get it done

The only thing holding this back is the transfer fee so it’s time that Rangers get to the negotiating table and quickly iron out a fair price for him.

They’ve wanted Cifuentes for a while so they need to act quickly or they can risk losing out to another side in the race to sign him.

While they are a massive draw, if one of the Premier League’s top clubs go in for him and pay him twice of what he’ll make at Ibrox, he may want to move there.

It’s already been reported that he wants to use Rangers as a stepping stone for a move to England so he doesn’t really see himself being at Ibrox for the long term.

Hopefully, in the coming days, an agreement can be reached and then the transfer can be announced.

It was also widely reported that he is due in Glasgow for his medical but unless there’s no agreement on the fee, LAFC will want him to continue playing games for them.

In other Rangers news, a pundit has claimed that the Ibrox faithful will love this attacker at the club as Rangers are closing in on another signing.
