Rangers transfer news: Official partner reacts at £3m+ development to sign Atalanta striker Sam Lammers

Heart and Hand have shared their honest opinion on the Rangers transfer pursuit of Atalanta striker Sam Lammers this summer.

According to Scottish Herald journalist Chris Jack [9 June], a £3million+ for the 26-year-old could be signed and sealed soon by Gers.

The club are looking to bring in a new striker this summer to replace Alfredo Morelos who will leave at the end of June.

Via Twitter, H&H, the club’s official partner, reacted to Lammers’ news, “His scoring record is poor but he must have something the manager wants. At the end of the day, Beale knows what happens if he gets this summer wrong.”

On point

Even Antonio Colak did not look clinical solely based on his numbers before he moved to Ibrox last summer.

He adapted to life in Scotland like a fish to water and even led the league’s goal-scoring charts.

However, under Michael Beale, he appears to have faded away and that’s not to say that he will not be back stronger in 2023/24.

Lammers too, does not seem the kind of striker target that will sweep the fans off their feet but if he delivers on the field of play, nobody will be heard complaining.

Heart and Hand are right, Beale’s been trusted unconditionally this summer and the blame lies on him if his signings do not work out.

He’s got to get this team challenging for the league and perhaps even winning it and there needs to be more firepower added to the ranks over the coming weeks.

In other Rangers news, work permit issues have now emerged which means that the club may not be able to complete a major signing this summer.
