Update emerges on Rangers quest to sign Luis Palma with £2.6m bid made
Rangers have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Aris attacker Luis Palma after a pursuit that has lasted for several weeks.
The Fourth Official confirmed this news on their Twitter account reacting to reports in Greece about the 23-year-old.
No alternative target has been mentioned for Rangers but the pursuit is now over despite the fact that they made a £2.6million bid for him in May. [Athlos News]

T4O wrote on Twitter, “It’s true that Rangers have pulled out of the race for Luis Palma. It will be interesting to see who they target in his place.”
Much needed
Palma looked like he was going to be the Ryan Kent replacement that Rangers needed but it’s back to the drawing board now for them.
Gers have been pretty efficient thus far in the window and got in their desired transfer targets but the job is far from done for them.
They need at least three or four more quality additions to their squad and Michael Beale surely must be working overtime with whoever is in charge of recruitment.

Ross Wilson left for Nottingham Forest and there were many boardroom departures as well and unsurprisingly, Rangers appear to be more efficient in the window.
It’s still unclear as to who’s calling the shots but Beale has been given the authority to bring in the players he wants.
He’s also having to cope with the exits of players he would’ve rather kept but that’s the game and he’s got to adapt quickly.
In other Rangers news, work permit issues have now emerged which means that the club may not be able to complete a major signing this summer.
