Rangers could see Atalanta striker Sam Lammers deal ‘signed and sealed’ next – Chris Jack
Rangers want to have a deal worth more than £3m for Sam Lammers ‘signed and sealed’ as their next transfer according to Chris Jack.
The Gers have already sealed deals for Jack Butland, Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling on free transfers, and are now looking to push forward with the more expensive deals on their radar.
And after having a £3m bid turned down for the 26-year-old turned down, they are now hopeful of reaching an agreement as soon as next week to bolster Michael Beale’s squad ahead of next season.

“But it is an agreement for Lammers that could be signed and sealed first following positive talks with Atalanta in recent days over a potential £3million switch,” he wrote for The Herald (9 June).
“The former PSV Eindhoven forward was on the bench for Eintracht Frankfurt as the Germans beat Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side on penalties to win the Europa League last May.
“He spent time on loan at Empoli and Sampdoria this season but only scored once for each before returning to Atalanta at the end of the campaign.
“Beale has identified Lammers as one of the additions to add guile and goals to his forward line and Rangers are keen to see the 26-year-old put pen-to-paper as they continue to work on a move for Dessers after seeing an initial £3million offer turned down.”
Brilliant
Rangers are working very hard in this transfer window to ensure that the manager is completely backed before the new season.

Beale admitted that he could potentially want up to a dozen players, and having already sealed three before the window is even open they can’t be accused of sitting on their hands.
The boss clearly wants to see goals added to his squad and sees Lammers as that man to replace Alfredo Morelos and push Antonio Colak more.
With a £3m deal already being rejected any deal will cost more than that, but hopefully the two clubs aren’t too far off an agreement and something can be done swiftly.
The club are going for it knowing there is a gap that needs to be closed, and next season is getting more and more exciting as we go on. Celtic are on the ropes and this is a real chance to push them off their perch, so it’s great to see that we’re trying to do that.
