Journalist shares Malik Tillman transfer update amid Rangers links

A transfer decision is reportedly yet to be made by Bayern Munich on the future of Rangers target Malik Tillman this summer.

Speaking on the Die Bayern-Woche podcast, Sport 1 journalist Kerry Hau claims that due to his season at Ibrox, he is now in demand at leagues outside of Scotland as well.

Gers are interested in signing the £5million-rated United States international and Michael Beale said that he will be having talks over this deal.

Hau said, “No decision has yet been made regarding the future of Malik Tillman and Gabriel Vidovic.

“Tillman has generated a lot of interest thanks to his great season with Rangers, including in leagues other than Scotland.”

Sign him

Bayern know that Rangers are very keen on signing him permanently so are dragging this along for a while in order to get the best possible deal for his services.

The 20-year-old is not going to get any game time in Bavaria so it’s surprising to see him not pushing for a move away from the club.

He will be a first choice at Ibrox and play more games than not with Michael Beale only leaving him out to rest him, given the busy fixture schedule.

He’s not going to come cheap but then again, no good player will and if Gers are to compete with Celtic, they have to sign the cream of the crop.

Celtic have lost their manager and that’s certainly going to impact their transfer activity so it’s on Rangers to make the most of that.

Hopefully, they can get Tillman over the line as he’s someone who knows the system perfectly and will be among the first names on the team sheet.

In other Rangers news, work permit issues have now emerged which means that the club may not be able to complete a major signing this summer.
