£4m transfer news emerges on Rangers defender Ben Davies with move for Arsenal defender Auston Trust eyed
Rangers will reportedly be looking for £4million if they are to part ways with defender Ben Davies this summer, which seems unlikely.
According to Football Scotland [08 June], Arsenal defender Auston Trusty has high wage demands and signing him right now, appears unlikely.
However, a sale for Davies can free up funds for the deal as Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is willing to sanction a permanent exit.

Worth considering?
The 24-year-old hasn’t really proven himself in the Premier League and the only reason he’s got high wage demands is because he’s at Arsenal.
They are one of the richest teams in the world and can afford to pay wages to players they do not envisage being first-team regulars.
If he is to move to Ibrox on the wages he’s likely to demand, there’s a very good chance that he will be among the top earners at the club.

Thus, it remains to be seen, if the club end up sanctioning a move for someone unproven as Davies was similar and hasn’t really hit the ground running in Scotland.
He will stay on but it’s going to be a huge surprise if he is the first choice as he’s struggled on numerous occasions this past season.
Michael Beale needs to bring in someone experienced and an upgrade to the current crop of centre-backs if he is to realistically challenge Celtic.
In other Rangers news, work permit issues have now emerged which means that the club may not be able to complete a major signing this summer.
