Besiktas make contact with Glen Kamara as Rangers exit on the cards, transfer war on with Galatasaray
Galatasaray and Besiktas are ready to enter a “transfer war” for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara this summer, with an exit on the cards.
The Finland international is expected to leave Ibrox this summer, with Michael Beale admitting the club are open to his exit if he wants to go and find regular football elsewhere.
A report by the Daily Mail (5 June) claimed Besiktas and Galatasaray were interested in his services, and now Turkish outlet Fotomac (7 June) report that Besiktas have already made contact with the player to discuss a transfer.

Bidding war?
If the clubs are interested in having a transfer war, then Rangers should be hoping that they will spark a bidding war and go head-to-head financially too.
Kamara has been a fine servant to Ibrox over the years but it’s quite clear that his time at the club has come to an end, similarly to Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos.
The difference with this though is that Kamara still has two years remaining on his contract which means we can push to receive a decent fee in exchange for letting him leave.

Premier League clubs are also said to be interested, but Rangers want at least £4m to let him depart and that has priced Sheffield United out of the race.
But this is likely to drag on for a little while longer now, so it’s one to keep an eye on for sure as Beale continues his overhaul of the squad.
