Rangers transfer news as Glen Kamara exit could be worth five times less
Sheffield United may be able to sign Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara for “less than five times the original asking price”, according to a report from the Star.
A £4million fee has been mooted for the cultured midfielder who is widely expected to leave Ibrox in the coming weeks, after four and a half years at the club.
Sheffield United previously showed an interest in Kamara and they could be set to rekindle their interest ahead of the Blades’ return to the Premier League.

The report from the Star set out the situation, as well as the background information on how the player has been tracked.
“Glen Kamara, the Rangers midfielder who is known to count senior members of Sheffield United’s hierarchy among his army of admirers, could leave Ibrox for as little as £4m this summer,” it said.
“The Finland international is expected to be among a number of players culled from the Scottish giants’ squad as Michael Beale plots a major overhaul.
“Although he has since departed, with Heckingbottom successfully delivering promotion from the Championship two months ago, many of the talent spotters who monitored Kamara back them still remain in situ.
“And with Beale’s stance significantly reducing the figure Rangers’ can demand for his services, it will have been noted that they are reportedly willing to listen to offers of around five times less than Kamara was adjudged to have been worth when United last expressed an interest in acquiring his services.”

One-way outcome
This is a potential transfer that is very much on the table.
Rangers are clearly ready to negotiate a deal for Kamara, who has represented great business for the club since he was bought from Dundee for the ridiculous sum of £50,000.
Fifty grand will be less than two weeks’ wages for some of the higher earners at the club to put that into perspective.
Now is the time to shake hands and part ways, with plenty of clubs likely to be interested in the Finland international due to his proven quality, on the club and international stage.
He is on holiday in the USA with Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey at present, where he will be weighing up his options for the next stage of his career.
Despite talk of a £4m fee, Rangers should be holding out for around a million pounds more, given the pedigree of the 27-year-old.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have been sent an injury warning regarding one of Beale’s new signings.
