Michael Beale jets out to Turkey as Rangers transfer talk reaches overdrive

Michael Beale has jetted out to Turkey on a family holiday as Rangers’ search for a new striker intensifies.

Beale posted a story on his Instagram of himself at Cullinnan Belek Hotel in Antalya, Turkey, which happens to be the same city as Gers’ target and Antalyaspor number nine, Hagi Wright.

According to Ajansspor and Radyospor journalist Salim Manav, taking to his personal Twitter account on 10 May, Rangers have submitted a £7m offer for a 25-year-old American.

The Daily Record add to the speculation on Tuesday 6 June, suggesting Beale’s presence in Turkey has set tounges wagging over a potential deal being thrashed out.

Needed

Another forward is desperately required at Ibrox. Alfredo Morelos’ exit means there are some fairly big shoes to fill. The Colombian was a divisive figure, but it’s hard to argue with his goal return for the Gers.

Wright would be an exciting addition. The Light Blues have had decent success with US talent in the past, with Malik Tillman being the latest success story.

Rangers

Beale needs to start targeting the top end of the pitch. So far, he’s added a midfielder, right back and is closing in on the signing of goalkeeper, Jack Butland. However, we all know goals win games and it’s vitally important for the Gers boss to add a prolific marksman for the 2022/23 season.

It’s certainly been an impressive start to the off-season, with a number of new players set to be wearing the famous blue jersey. It’s important the board and Beale continue to work hard behind the scenes to ensure a drastic squad overhaul comes to fruition.

In other Rangers news, the Gers have been sent an injury warning regarding one of Beale’s new signings.
