Jack Butland confirms Crystal Palace exit as Rangers transfer announcement nears
Jack Butland has confirmed he is leaving Crystal Palace as his transfer to Rangers edges closer to completion.
The Scottish Daily Mail claim the Gers are close to announcing the signing of the 30-year-old after Crystal Palace decided against extending his current deal.
Butland has since taken to Twitter to thank the Eagles in a message that confirms his departure from Selhurst Park.

“I would like to thank everybody at Crystal Palace for making my time in South London so enjoyable and the fans for the support we were given everywhere we went,” he wrote (6 June).
“I made friends and memories I won’t forget and I wish you nothing but the best moving forward!”
It’s now a matter of time before the Gers announce their third signing of the transfer window. Butland hasn’t been playing regularly, but you don’t receive an England call-up unless you are a quality goalkeeper.

He’s certainly got big shoes to fill at Ibrox after Allan McGregor’s departure. The Rangers legend was performing to a high level even in his last year with the club.
It’s up to Butland to repay Beale’s faith with some accomplished performances in the early part of his career with the club. It’s an excellent chance for the 30-year-old to rediscover his top form and propel the Gers back to the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Beale will be delighted with how the start of the summer has panned out. He’s managed to get a number of deals in the pipeline, and the overhaul he dreamed of is really starting to take shape.
In other Rangers news, Beale is planning to make multiple signings at a key position and still keep hold of one exit-bound first-team player as well.
