Rangers transfer news as Viktor Gyokeres admired in £30m update
Rangers are well and truly into the middle of their transfer rebuild at Ibrox already, despite the Scottish season ending officially on Sunday 4 June.
Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling have already been confirmed as the first two signings for next season at Ibrox, with Michael Beale moving early to get his business done.
Jack Butland, Jose Cifuentes and Cyriel Dessers are three names that continue to pop up with the possibility of arriving next, although the success may have gone to Beale’s head.

Coventry City star Viktor Gyokeres has emerged as another name that Beale admires, but Premier League clubs south of the borders are lining up moves.
The Sunday Mirror reported on 4 June that the Swedish hotshot could be worth up to £30million this summer, something that makes this move immediately impossible.

Dreamland.
Beale can admire all he likes, but this is one of those transfers that will not be possible in Scotland for a very long time, definitely until some sort of new revenue is available to clubs.
English top-flight clubs are bombarded with cash immediately at the start of each season through television money, something that the Sky deal in Scotland looks minuscule compared to.
The Daily Record reported on 4 June that the Bears had placed a seven-figure bid for Dessers, who has recently been relegated from Serie A with Cremonese.
Although seven-figures, it will likely be closer to £1million than £9million, which shows the ballpark that Rangers are currently dealing in.
John Bennett has been brutal with his decisions since being installed at Rangers, but Gyokeres is one of those players that he will simply shut the door on.
It is not happening.
In other Rangers news, Beale is already in talks with another two players over moves to Ibrox with one playing at Wembley in the last two weeks
