Rangers set for windfall as Aberdeen defender Ross McCrorie on cusp of £2m Bristol City transfer

Rangers are reportedly set to make money from the sale of Ross McCrorie who’s set to quit Aberdeen in order to join Bristol City.

According to the Scottish Sun [5 June], the English side have beaten West Brom and Norwich City to secure the 25-year-old’s services for £2million.

He has his medical scheduled on Tuesday, 6 June, and Gers have a sell-on clause which will see them make a share of the transfer fee.

Good move

McCrorie was due to leave Rangers anyway as he wasn’t getting the game time and the decision-makers were smart enough to put a clause in his deal.

He always seemed like he’s got the potential of making it to a top league and with a move to the English Championship, he’s a step closer to the Premier League.

Would they be given the chance to bring him back, Gers perhaps would not exercise it, but he’s still a decent player who’ll get better in the coming years.

This additional money is always beneficial especially in the transfer window where Michael Beale is expected to demand a number of signings.

Rangers have also been given a boost in the fact that Ange Postecoglou might leave for Tottenham Hotspur so a new manager will again have to build the squad based on his philosophy.

It may take time for him to get his ideas across and this may be the ideal moment for Beale and Gers to pounce and win the transfer window.

In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
