Antonio Colak finished at Rangers amid Cyriel Dessers seven-figure bid
Antonio Colak has endured a tough first season at Rangers – and the latest transfer news to emerge from Ibrox could be bad news for the Croatian.
The Daily Record report on 4 June the Gers have submitted a seven-figure bid for Cyriel Dessers, who Cremonese paid £6million for last summer.
The 28-year-old Nigerian scored ten goals in all competitions last season despite Cremonese being relegated from the top tier of Italian football.

Rangers had seen an initial bid turned down, however, talks are still ongoing between the two sides. If the move materialises Colak’s tenure at Ibrox could well be under threat.
The Scottish Sun reported on 9 May that the 29-year-old could depart during the summer window, with German and MLS sides both interested. Colak finished the 2022/23 season with 13 goals and three assists.
It was a profitable campaign, but the Croatian did come up with some fairly abject performances at times. It’s clear that Michael Beale is looking for another forward and Dessers’ arrival could see Colak move further down the pecking order.

The Gers striker will want to be playing regular first-team football. He’s at an important stage in his career where sitting on the bench won’t cut it.
We all know Beale is looking to overhaul his squad. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s summer additions have been largely disappointing and it’s now time for the Rangers boss to be ruthless.
Colak’s future will certainly be one to watch if a brand new attacker arrives from the front door at Ibrox.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have been sent an injury warning regarding one of Beale’s new signings.
